Overview: Join us for a uniquely styled golf scramble featuring 9 holes of gourmet barbecue and 9 holes of premium bourbon tastings, all while supporting families affected by childhood cancer. Your sponsorship will help provide critical financial assistance to families facing medical hardships in the form of 3 months of rent or mortgage payments for families diagnosed with pediatric cancer. Let’s raise some money for Fight Like a Dozer and have a great time while doing it!
Team Registration, Rules, and Regulations
1. Registration
- $1000 - Standard 4 man team
- $2500 - VIP 4 man team (details to be announced)
2. Rules
- We’re playing this scramble straight no chaser. No mulligans, no throws, no string, no skirts, and pens for the scorecards. Your game better be graded prime A!
- In the event of a tie there will be tie breaker on the chip and putt course for everyone to watch.
- Prizes will be awarded to teams finishing 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 17th.
3. General information
- Drink Responsibly. While this is a celebration including bourbon we strongly encourage you to know your limits and as always please ensure you have a safe ride to your next destination.
- Beer Carts will offer refreshments during the event.
Side Games, Contests, Drawings, and Attractions:
1. Tee Box Games:
- "mashbill toss": FREE PLAY! A corn and grain bag toss game where participants can win bourbon-themed prizes by throwing the bags into small holes in a barrel.
- "Foodie Photos": FREE PLAY! Players take creative photos of the BBQ holes as they play them during the scramble. The most creative photos will win a free foursome for next years event!
- “high card” FREE PLAY. cut for high card against a slight of hand magician who also does entertaining slight of hand. Winners are entered to win a door prize.
- “Sink of Swim” on a short water hole a team can wager if the will sink or swim. $20 to play. If all players stay dry then they get to subtract a stroke from the hole, but if any player finds the water, the sand, or OB the whole team must all take a penalty of a half shot of malort shot OR 5 dizzy spins on their clubs before hitting their next shot.
- “Guess the Number” FREE PLAY!! Players must guess the number of tees and balls in a jar for a grand prize.
- “Pink Ball Draw” $5 per draw. Players must blind draw a pink ball from a bucket of balls. If successful then that player can tee off from the ladies tees.
2. On Course Contests:
- Longest Drive Contest: 2 holes
- Closest to the Pin Contest: 2 holes
- Center of the fairway Contest: 1 hole
- Longest putt: 1 hole
- Hole in one big winners: 2 holes
3. Raffle for Grand Prizes:
- Raffle off premium prizes such as grills, smokers, gourmet meat boxes, bourbon tours, dining experiences, event tickets, trip packages, and coveted bottles of bourbon.
4. Special on Course Entertainment
- Bluegrass band playing on a hole
- Hecklers on a hole
5. Pre and Post Scramble Games
- “Before and After” FREE PLAY. All teams will take a before and after the round photo at our official team photo location by the clubhouse. We will choose a winner based on appearance and energy in their photos. The winner will win a free foursome for next years event.
- “Bottle Battle” $10 per player. One putt at a bunch of staggered prizes on the green. You hit it you win it.
