Free Event - Hanna ParkBird Walk - First Time Birders
Sponsored by: Wild Birds Unlimited Jacksonville Beach &
Duval Audubon Society
Join us to experience a diversity of habitats and an impressive
checklist of over 200 bird species. We will explore the freshwater
finger lakes that support Anhingas, Wood Storks and both species of
Night Herons. The hardwood hammock has trails where migratory
songbirds can be found during the spring; 28 species of wood-warbler
have been recorded. Please respect the posted critical wildlife area
and sea turtle nesting sites.
Make sure you bring sunscreen, bug spray, water, a hat and good walking shoes. Bring binoculars if you have them. If not, binoculars will be available to borrow.
Since the number of attendees is limited to 15 first-time birders, please be sure to cancel your reservation if you change your mind.
