Bird Talk & Tour – Beginner Birding Challenge! Have you ever wanted to try birdwatching but didn’t know where to start? This event is for YOU!
Join us for a Beginner Birding Talk & Tour, perfect for new birders or anyone looking to sharpen their bird ID skills! We’ll start with a quick 30-minute talk indoors to cover the basics—how to spot and identify birds, use binoculars, and understand bird behavior. Then, we’ll head out for an hour-long guided birding walk to see how many birds we can find!
🌿 The challenge? Spot 15+ native Florida birds, and you’ll earn a Wings Over Florida Junior Birder Certificate—a fun way to celebrate your new birding skills!
🔎 What to bring? Bring your own binoculars and field guide if you have them, or borrow a pair from us! We’ll be walking about a mile on the boardwalk, so dress comfortably.
