Wild Bird Rescue Training ClassJoin us for an informative class on how to safely rescue injured or distressed wild birds and transport them to our wildlife hospital for rehabilitation. This workshop is designed for nature enthusiasts, animal lovers, and anyone who wants to make a difference in the lives of wild birds in our beautiful home of Sarasota.

FAQ
• Is there an age restriction?
Participants must be 18 years or older to join this class.
• Where is the class hosted?
We’ll meet outdoors on the lower level of Save Our Seabirds. Seating will be provided, but feel free to bring a folding chair if that’s more comfortable for you.
• Will I get to hold a bird?
While there won’t be live birds to handle, you’ll learn handling techniques using our cherished stuffed animal, Petey the Pelican!
• What happens after training?
Upon completing the class, you’ll be invited to fill out our volunteer application. We’ll then work with you to coordinate a schedule that fits your availability.
