Are you interested in learning about the different species of birds that visit your backyard? Do you want to be able to identify a bird when you're taking a stroll in a park? Do you wonder what motivates birds to travel hundreds of miles just to nest and breed in Citrus County? Join us for "Bird Naturalist Workshop"Over 220 species and 6,500 observations have been recorded on iNaturalist in Citrus County. Citrus County provides a wonderful and abundant environment for birds. It’s a place where biodiversity is rich with natural resources to support the raising of their young, from nest building to hunting skills.
In this workshop, you'll learn about various subjects including bird behavior and migration trends. While gaining knowledge about these topics is important, the most crucial aspect is understanding how birding can positively impact one's well-being.
Engaging in birding activities outdoors and being around like-minded individuals fosters a sense of belonging, promotes physical activity, and enhances mental awareness, contributing to overall health and well-being.
Join us on Saturday, February 22, 2025 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Citrus County Canning Center, 3405 W. Southern Street. Lecanto, FL
