Join Dr. Jenn Houtz, Allegheny College Professor of Biology, as she provides a highly-interactive workshop decorating bird boxes and constructing eco-friendly bird feeders. Dr. Houtz studies the physiology and behavior of birds, including Eastern Bluebirds and Tree Swallows.Participants will collaborate in decorating pre-constructed bird boxes that will be installed around the community. They will also have the opportunity to construct an eco-friendly bird feeder out of provided common household materials that they may take with them at the end of the event.
This event will take in the Library's Community Space on the top floor. Please join us as we celebrate the beginning of spring and renewed bird activity!
