Bird + Boat Tour at Anacostia Park

A bird walk overlooking the canopy at Anacostia Park can only be topped by a boat ride on the Anacostia. Welp ... see you Saturday!

Meet us at the boat ramp. We'll take a walk to spot some feathered friends, then take a ride with the Anacostia Riverkeeper to see more friends on the water and hear about the rich history of the river and conservation efforts.

What to bring / Park Info:

• Layers! It's colder on the boat.
• Snacks / Water.
• Sturdy, waterproof shoes.
• Waterproof bag for your phone / camera.
• Ample, free parking is available.
• There are restrooms at the skating pavilion and portable restrooms throughout the park.

All participants must be registered.

Directions:

Metro: Potomac Ave (Blue or Orange line) 30 min walk. Meet at the parking lot closer to the Anacostia River. From here, the walk will proceed to a pedestrian bridge to a wooded area and back.
