Join us this month for an exciting hands-on activity presented by the Oak Spring Garden Foundation in partnership with the Loudoun County Public Library- Purcellville! Kids (ages 6-11) and teens (ages 12-18) are invited to our Bird Bed & Breakfast! This month, everyone will learn about the history of birdhouse gourds created by indigenous groups and create their own birdhouse gourd shelters.
Using crops from the Oak Spring Biocultural Conservation Farm, kids will make bird feeder nesting wreaths, incorporating the birdhouse gourd shelters. It's a fun and free way to learn new skills, get artsy, and connect with the natural world.
Each month, OSGF hosts a different free, nature-inspired activity at local libraries, offering a unique opportunity for young minds to engage with the environment in fun, interactive ways. Don’t miss out on November's event, and be sure to follow us for each month's new theme!
Walk-ins welcome! Go to your library’s website for more info at the link provided.
