Join Five Valleys Audubon for a rare opportunity to visit the University of Montana Bird Ecology Lab's banding station on the flood plain of the Bitterroot River at MPG Ranch.
Meet in the Southwest corner of the Walmart parking lot on Route 93 for a 07:15 departure or at the gate to MPG at the Northern end of Lower Woodchuck Road at 08:15. Please arrange carpooling if possible to minimize the number of vehicles as parking at the banding site is limited.
Visiting the banding site requires a brief but steep descent to the flood plain and a short walk on uneven terrain so consider appropriate footwear and dress for the weather.
Visitors to MPG Ranch are required to sign a waiver in advance, please email [email protected] if you plan on attending.
