Join researchers from the Cape Fear Bird Observatory as they band Painted Buntings at Hammocks Beach State Park to learn more about these vibrant songbirds!Visitors will observe how scientists safely capture & band the birds using a feeder-style trap, helping track migration and population trends. During the demonstration, the public will be stationed nearby—close enough to witness the process, but far enough not to disturb the birds.
