Join staff from Birds Georgia and Quail Forever for a walk at Haig Mill Park to identify birds and plants, with a special focus on invasive species! This is a family and beginner-friendly walk. We will be using iNaturalist to document the Fearsome Five: nandina, Chinese privet, English ivy, bahia grass, and autumn fern as we come across them. We will send out iNaturalist instructions to registrants before the walk.
Please wear comfortable shoes and bring water, snacks, and binoculars if you have them. We will have a few loaner pairs. We will walk the 3.5-mile loop around the lake, which is on a well-maintained path and is fairly flat.
