About this Event
Come join us for an introduction to the Biomimicry Design Process. We will walk with you through a 6 step process from the Biomimicry Institute Tool Box which can be helpful when using nature as a guide for your design concept, or when resolving a particular design challenge. The Tool Box can be used to anchor your design process as a whole or as a general guide to integrate insights from biomimicry into another design methodology. We will work through the steps of the Biomimicry Design Spiral sequentially, but the reality of the design process is that it is non linear and iterative – just like a spiral, always circling back.
Bring along your picnic lunch and rug, and preferred design tools – pens, paper, pencil, or device - for a lunchtime workshop to practice a method for generating inspiring design solutions grounded in nature.
