Confirmed speakers include:
Dr Steve Smith, Executive Director, Oxford Net Zero and CO2RE, Oxford University. Joint lead author and member of the executive team for The State of Carbon Dioxide Removal. A global, independent scientific assessment of Carbon Dioxide Removal. 2nd edition, 2024. Steve will speak on Carbon dioxide removal: the state of play and the global scale-up challenge
Prof Jeanette Whitaker, Principal Scientist in Soil and Land Use. UK Centre for Ecology and Hydrology. Jeanette leads and manages £12M of research and demonstration projects for NERC, BBSRC and the UK Department for Energy Security and Net Zero. Jeanette will speak on Growing a sustainable biomass sector through research, innovation and demonstration
Enrique Cornejo, Head of Energy Policy, Offshore Energies UK. Enrique previously worked in Government including as Head of Carbon Capture, Usage and Storage Supply Chains, and as Head of Technologies within the Industrial Decarbonisation Strategy Team. Enrique will speak on Early infrastructure deployment in industrial clusters (Track 1, 2) and development of our CO2 storage sector
