About this Event

Please join the Biodiversity Inventory at Western (BIW) for a guided biodiversity hike along the Thames River behind King’s University College. This event will be led by Jackson Kusack, PhD Candidate at Western University. We will be focusing on all aspects of biodiversity and will demonstrate how to use the iNaturalist community science app to identify species from photos and contribute to the City Nature Challenge. The hike will be around 90 minutes.

We will meet at the parking lot in front of King’s Alumni Court (266 Epworth Avenue). Parking is available on-site.

Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear.  This hike will be on uneven terrain and is not wheelchair accessible.

Please contact Jackson at [email protected] if you have any questions.

Help track biodiversity in London by participating in the City Nature Challenge!

The CNC is an international community science event in which regions compete to make the most observations of nature. Community science data is useful for tracking trends in biodiversity and can inform local conservation management and land use planning. Participating in the CNC is a way for you to contribute to protecting wildlife and habitat in London!

From April 26th to 29th, make observations of wild plants, animals and fungi and upload the photos or sounds into iNaturalist.

Check out CNCLdnOnt.ca for more details!
