Rolando founded BIODANZA in the Sixties, and every year, during April, all over the world we consciously celebrate the BIODANZA system and the freedom of conscious expression! (see the post in DISCUSSION for a little more on Biodanza)
During his B-earth month’s centenary, we come together ... and
We dance Dance DANCE for the love of life and for a LIFE OF LOVE!
Rolando would have celebrated his 100th birthday on 19 April 2024! And to celebrate his life and legacy of love and dance, we in the Cape shall join local and international communities on 20 April, the date set aside all over the world for this year’s celebrations.
We invite you to come celebrate with us, meet up with 'old' and ‘new’ Biodanceros from the BIODANZA groups in Cape Town, Somerset West and Cape Town North, and meet the facilitators, too.
Please spread the news, bring a first timer, and join us as we connect with the wonder and freedom of creating our own lives.

WHAT TO EXPECT
Connection & a co-facilitated dance session (up to around 4h15pm) followed by
a Biodanza style social gathering with optional “Bring & Share” refreshments and companionship ...
This is an OPEN space :
No steps to follow
No partner needed
No previous experience
No age or fitness requirements
EVERYONE is welcome ...
To bring along :
- We dance barefoot, or in easy to move in yoga shoes.
- Come in comfortable layered clothing, have some water handy
- An optional picnic basket with a wholesome snack and non-alcoholic drinks to share in the gardens after
- a first timer, family or friends (to share the beauty of Biodanza and companionship with)
- a sense of adventure and fire in your belly!
