About this Event
Hywel Morgan is professor of bioelectronics in the School of Electronics and Computer Science in the University of Southampton.
Biomedical electronics straddles the boundary between engineering and medicine and impacts many areas of healthcare - for example the development of miniature diagnostic devices and implantable sensors.
This talk will explore recent progress in the field, exploring how consumer electronics such as the iPhone can be used for moving droplets of liquid, and for the development of rapid tests for antimicrobial resistance.
