After a tough few years patiently waiting for the next Rafiki event we are thrilled to tell you that the time has finally come!
Thanks to one of our Sydney-based volunteers, Eddison, for organising our first event this year, to have a ‘ball’ and raise awareness and much-needed funds for our children in Kenya.
Join Eddison, our founder Sarah and some of the Rafiki team (including Rafiki’s MC Annaliese Dent) at the Tea Room, QVB George Street, Sydney for a naughty night of fun with one of Australia’s most sought-after drag queens, Prada Clutch.
Prada has featured in stage shows across Australia, as well as in New Zealand. She headlines Sydney Drag Queen’s All-Drag Revue & Les Divas, which are currently touring Australia. She draws her inspiration from the likes of Dusty Springfield, Barbara Streisand, Celine Dion and Cher.
This is a sit down event so make sure you choose your seats with your mates. If you’re planning to attend solo, don’t worry! After all, Rafiki translates to friend and Rafiki events are just like a great big bunch of friends catching up. The best part is, we are raising funds for Rafiki Mwema!

We are a refuge for children in Kenya who are survivors of abuse. We provide them with safety, love and therapeutic care.
