Is quilt binding leaving you feeling confused? Allow Kim A. to clarify the art of binding your projects with ease.We will create two table mats measuring approximately 10 x 20 inches. The first mat will have a standard binding, while the second will feature rounded corners with bias binding. A possible use for your finished mats is in the kitchen - choose your fabric colors accordingly.
Throughout this class, we will cover:
*calculating the required amount of binding
*joining strips diagonally
*creating mitered corners
*diagonally joining the two ends
*topstitching the second side instead of hand sewing
Additionally, there will be a demonstration on how to join striped fabric and plaid fabric using invisible seams.
