Join us with instructor Ixmucane Norma Pereira, local Mayan artist, educator, and college student, and learn about the origins of Worry Dolls and the psychological benefits of releasing worries. Native Indigenous Mayan legend indicates that placing your Worry Doll beneath a pillow, in a wooden box, or in a pouch, the doll takes over the worrying and the person sleeps well, awakening free of apprehension, fear, and anxiety. Create your own small, colorful ornament to give your worries to and sleep more peacefully.Perfect for ages 5+ and caregivers.
Included with museum admission.
