Join us for Bikes, Lies and Alibis: an Open Roads FundraiserWe invite you to join us for an evening of mystery, mayhem, and meaningful impact at Bikes, Lies, and Alibis: An Open Roads Fundraiser on Saturday, October 11, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at The Desenberg in downtown Kalamazoo.
All event proceeds will fund our year-round work to engage local youth in Earn-a-Bike programs!
The Event
For this year's fundraising event, we are hosting something entirely new: a murder mystery dinner party. It combines interactive entertainment with purpose, supporting Open Roads' mission to to engage and empower youth through bicycles and bike mechanics, to better prepare them for their future. For 16 years, Open Roads has been transforming lives through bicycle education, repair programs, and mentorship—investing in the future leaders of Kalamazoo.
Event Highlights:
Interactive Murder Mystery: "Best Laid Plans" hosted by The Murder Mystery Company
Full Dinner Service for all guests
Beer and Wine offered to adult guests
Silent Auction featuring travel packages
1930s-1940s Theme. Guests are encouraged (but not required) to wear period attire for added fun
You may wonder, "Do I have to wear something fancy?"
Certainly not. You can arrive at either event in whatever you are comfortable with. But we have a tradition of sharing fun and stylish attire for inclined people.
