A bit about the hosts:
----------------------------------
Ned: I just registered for the 2025 Rockstar gravel route, which will be my 5th consecutive RS ride. I'm not fast, but after four previous rides I have figured out what works for me, which is slow and steady. I ride a fully loaded Salsa Fargo, camping at dispersed sites along the way. I pack a tent, sleeping bag and food for the entire ride. My goal is to have as much fun as possible and one day clear the ride up Union Springs road to the top of Flagpole without stopping. I'm looking forward to sharing my experience and knowledge with others.
------------------------------------
Susannah: The 2025 Grand Depart will be my 5th time doing the RockStar, and my 4th Grand Depart. I’ve done the trail route twice in its entirety and twice as a trail and gravel route hybrid. Sticking with my love of off-road bikepacking, I intend to do the trail route again in 2025. The RockStar is one of my favorite events and I will heartily encourage anyone with even an iota of interest in it to give it a go.
