BIKEABILITY WEEK AT COLLATON ST MARY C OF E PRIMARY SCHOOL
27-30 SEPTEMBER 2021 (MONDAY - THURSDAY)
Our National Standards Cycling Instructors will be in school on the above dates to deliver Bikeability Level 2 – a four day course (2 hours per day) to take place at your child's school and using the surrounding roads during school hours. This training is for pupils in year 5 at the start of the course.
This invaluable training is Government funded so there is no cost to parents or the school. If however, you book your child onto the course and he/she then doesn’t attend, the school may be charged for the place and they may choose to pass the charge onto you if there is no good reason for their absence.
To take part your child will need to:
• be able to ride a bike without stabilizers.
• own a bike and helmet – if the bike is a BMX it must have back and front brakes. All bikes must be in good working order.
There are limited places available and these will be allocated on a first come first served basis so if you would like your child to take part, please book now.
The closing date for applications is this Friday 16 July and no applications can be accepted after this date.
If we are running more than one course at your child's school, you will be informed directly by the school, which week your child will be undertaking the training.

Covid-19. Full risk assessments to cover Covid-19 have been compiled and forwarded to the school. These will be updated as government guidelines change and the school will be sent up to date risk assessments the week before the course.
