Want to get out for a long road ride all the way across Auckland, exploring the many cycle-paths between the CBD and Onehunga?Thanks to Auckland Transport, Got To Get Out is hosting a series of rides, walks & hikes to showcase the city's best cycle trails and paths and to get Aucklanders fit & connected.
We hope this event will give you confidence and inspire more of our community to consider walking or riding to work / school / play, to make Auckland a healthier happier city.

These collaborative rides are FREE (excluding bike hire for a minor cost) and include everything you would expect from a guided GTGO experience; including expert leaders, first aid, route planning, korero and useful information shared during the day.

DETAILS
For this FREE guided group ride, we will start outside Britomart train station (take the train to the starting point if you wish, save on parking) then we will ride to Onehunga, where we will take a bus or train home. HOP cards supplied if you wish to try out public transport to get home.
This event suits people who are fit enough to ride approximately 20km (3-4 hours constant riding). People who rode this last time found it QUITE HARD, the hardest being the uphill from the city up Nelson St.
E-bikes welcome.
There are some uphill sections, such as Nelson Street, where you need to be reasonably fit.
E-bikes are available for hire for a small fee. Please book your E-bike at the ticketing check-out.
You will need to 'sign in' using Got To Get Out's risk disclosure form (www.gottogetout.com/check-in) before arrival.
Bring:
Come with water, lunch, snacks (for yourself and to share), enclosed shoes, and sun / wind / rain protection, personal first aid (exact gear list will follow to ticket holders).
