Get ready for a performance that will leave you on the edge of your (bike) seat! Audiences will be led on a tour of the park, stopping every few minutes to take in a new show.
This year's show boasts a dazzling team of Winnipeg theatre, dance, music and circus artists all coming together in one beautiful park.

It’s a show you can see on the seat of your bike!
But you do not need a bike to enjoy this event - walk or roll with us on your choice of wheels! All kinds of human-powered devices are welcome and choose the route/show that works best for you. Bike Shows
Bring your bike and enjoy a ride through luscious parkland and dense forest, stopping every few minutes to take in a performance piece. This option is best for fairly confident bike riders. You will be on a smooth gravel path as well as some hilly trails through the riverbed forest.
Running Time - up to 90 minutes
Route Distance - approx. 3km
Group Size - up to 20 people
Walking / Slow Roll Shows
Bring your walking shoes and enjoy a stroll through Whittier Park’s Riparian forest, stopping every few minutes to take in a performance piece. This option is best for pedestrians, folks pushing strollers, bike riders who prefer to ride at a slower pace. The trail includes a smooth gravel path as well as some hilly sections through the riverbed forest.
Running Time - up to 110 minutes
Route Distance - approx. 3km
Group Size - up to 30 people
Accessible Path Shows
Roll or stroll along the Active Transportation path in Whittier Park, stopping every couple minutes to take in a performance piece. This show has shorter distances between stages, with seating along the path and at each stage. The trail is smooth gravel, wide, and flat, with some small hills or changes in elevation.
Running Time - up to 60 minutes
Route Distance - approx. 600m
Group Size - up to 40 people
THINGS TO KNOW
So you’re coming to Bike and Circuses!
- There will be an interactive lobby with activities for all ages and abilities with community groups offering hot tips and info about cycling and being eco-friendly. You can come early or stay late to take this part in.
- You will be led from stage to stage by a Host. Your Host will return you and your group to the Box Office at the end of the show.
- Our Box Office is located between the Whittier Park parking lot and Fort Gibraltar.
- There are accessible washrooms on site, near the box office.
- Bring a reusable water bottle. We will have water on site to refill it.
- Be prepared for the weather. Shows will continue through light rain. Consider bug spray, clothing layers, sunscreen, sunglasses, hats, comfortable footwear, and rain gear.
- If you are coming to a Bike Show, please bring your own bicycle. Need a bike? You can rent from these nearby shops, located at The Forks, just 2.5kms from the event site:
