Bring your ideas to life with techniques that make them pop. Visualization and visual facilitation are methods that make content and process visible in real time. In presentations, workshops, coaching sessions, training, and meetings – whenever people engage in dialogue, are working together and want to learn from each other in an impactful way. The bikablo® technique opens the door to the world of visual thinking and dialogue. Whether you are a beginner or a more advanced visual facilitator, you are welcome to attend! This workshop will be led by Jill Langer (bikablo® global trainer for Canada).
What to expect in the two-day training... In the 2-day training, you will become familiar with the basic building blocks of the bikablo® technique (graphic elements, containers, people, and symbols) and how to combine them to create custom logos and simple diagrams. In this way, you will develop the skills to create flipchart posters to communicate your ideas or the ideas of the groups or individuals you work with. The two-day agenda covers:
Holding the pen and drawing the line: Drawing clean lines and structuring space on a flipchart.
Graphics and text containers: How to create simple arrows and connecting elements from basic geometric shapes in order to present related topics. This includes text containers (e.g. speech bubbles) which can be used to support which different types of messages.
Objects and symbols: How to draw simple symbols (also referred to as icons, and pictograms) to highlight key messages. Learn what is essential, and what can be left out.
Figures: Learn how to draw a simple style of people, communicate roles, groups, and situations.
Color: Learn basic principles of color, how to apply color to your flipcharts and how to fill spaces in a quick and simple way that supports that will help the reader make sense of the information.
Writing: Learn how to improve your handwriting on flipcharts to make them more legible and visually attractive.
Live Capture: Learn how to capture information live through the creation of a poster that captures the outputs of a group brainstorming process.
Posters and Flipcharts: Combine all of the elements learned in the training (graphics, writing, symbols, figures, and color) to create to a flipchart or poster specific to your work that you can use immediately (welcome, agenda, instructions, group work, etc.)
All materials and supplies needed for the training.
Bikablo® StarterSet: Every participant receives an official StarterSet which includes: four visualization markers and two Starter Booklets (in English) that summarize the principles, content, and techniques of the training.
Photo documentation of the training will be provided to participants in a digital format after the workshop to use as a training reference.
A certificate confirming your participation in the training and a list of the content covered in the course.
An invitation to join the bikablo® alumni online community where you can find further readings, links, tips, tricks and opportunities to exchange ideas with other participants.
COVID Update & Planning
Bikablo is best suited for a face-to-face delivery format, and everyone's health and safety is always most important. The plan is to run this training in-person at the venue specified above. The situation will be monitored closely and a final decision will be made no later than Sept. 14. If the training cannot move forward in-person, it will be delivered online (virtually) on the same dates and time. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out.

You have little experience with visualization so far and are looking for an easy way to improve your flipcharts or whiteboarding skills with containers, graphics, symbols, and simple figures to make them clearer, visually appealing, and engaging.

The bikablo® technique and our training concepts are protected by copyright. As a participant in one of our trainings, you acquire the right to use the imagery, drawing techniques and visualization methods you have learned for your own work.

General Information, Registration, Cancellations & Refunds
Language: This training will be in English.
Trainer & Participants: max. of 10 participants to support a great learning experience.
Cancellations & Refunds: A full refund will be issued if you cancel your registration at least 10 working days before the event start date. After this period, the following fees will be deducted from the registration fee.
5-10 working days’ notice: 50% of the registration fee
0-5 working days’ notice: 100% of the registration fee
Replacing delegates: this can be done at no extra cost. Please contact us to arrange a replacement.
Postponing a booking to another date: this is free provided it is requested at least 10 working days before the event start date. It the request is made less than 10 working days in advance of the training a 20% fee will be charged.
We reserve the right to postpone or cancel this course if there are insufficient registrations. If this is the case, you will be notified 10 working days before the course start date. In this case, you will be offered an alternative date or a full refund. We will not be responsible for any other costs incurred.
