Harry was invited to cook for 1500+ people at World's longest brunch in March 2024, so we are excited to have him cook for us in June.
Treat your taste buds to a culinary journey, as we pair exquisite dishes with the finest Rahona Valley sparkling and cool climate wines. This is an intimate feast you don't want to miss!
Biji Dining
Biji means grandmother in Punjabi. Having spent most of his time cooking in Melbourne restaurants, Indian born, Australian trained chef Harry Mangat has worked and collaborated with some of Australia's most awarded and loved chefs; Raymond Capaldi, Peter Gunn, Blayne Bertoncello, Rosheen Kaul and Ross Magnaye just to name a few. Today, together with wife Sandy, they are the duo behind, Biji Dining - "nomadic pop up project". A way of connecting better with people and our land through the food we create. Designing seasonal menus that reflect a sense of place. Ever inspired by flavours of the sub continent, we welcome you into our roving dining room at Rahona Valley.
This year, Harry has been hailed as a new wave of talent by Melbourne Food and Wine Festival that's bringing fresh new ideas and energy to Indian food in Australia, and he has been asked to cook for1500+ people at World's longest brunch 2024.
Rahona Valley
Starting from a modest 3-acres, purchased almost 10 years, Dianne and Toby have grown Rahona Valley to process over 4- tonnes from vineyards located across the Mornington Peninsula. Today, Rahona Valley proudly boasts a 5-star rating from the Halliday Wine Companion, showcasing a diverse selection of over 10 sparkling wines and a complementary array of cool climate table wines. Their intimate Wine bar and Tasting room has added a unqiue venue to the other artisan producers in Dromana Habitat and is the venue for the Biji Pop-up dinner.
