Le’Wade Milliner aka Big Wade was born on the north side of Omaha Nebraska. He learned to love music before he could talk in his grandfathers church where his mother was the choir director. He started playing the drums in church at age 4. His father loved the blues and soul music so he grew up in a very eclectic environment. Big Wade started taking music lessons at the age of 11 and learned to read and write music. While in high school he took advantage of all the music opportunities and received multiple full music scholarships. He chose to accept a music scholarship to Grambling State University and played the bass drum for the world famed Grambling State marching band. While in college he started playing the piano and quickly realized that the piano was going to be his main instrument. After college he moved back to Omaha NE. and reunited with his original band The Last Few. The Last Few started as a hip hop soul band and evolved into a neo soul jazz band. They traveled all over the country playing at casinos and opening up for national acts like Al Green, Jagged Edge, Lyfe Jennings, Tony Toni Tone, Carl Thomas, Day 26, Jeffery Osborne, 8 Ball and MJG, Too Short, Ludicris, Tank, Ciera and many more. The Last Few released their first album titled "The Soul Movement Vol. I" in 2006 and gained a lot of attention and album sales. Big Wade co-produced, recorded, mixed and mastered the entire project. He also created a regional hit song titled Better Lover which gave him a great resume to show his full talents. From 2004 to current Big Wade has written over 140 songs, produced over 700 tracks and engineered countless projects. People quickly realized that if you wanted a good project in Omaha NE. you had to have Big Wade on it. August 4th 2009 Big Wade released his debut solo album titled "I Made It." He did everything from engineering the project to performing the songs. His very soulful voice has been compared to David Ruffin, Al Green, Sly Stone, Donnie Hathaway, D’Angelo and Cee-Lo. His song writing style has been compared to Smokie Robinson, Curtis Mayfield and Stevie Wonder. With his vivid descriptions, hypnotizing melodies and harmonies a very diverse crowd can relate and live by his words. Being a fluent keyboardist and drummer Big Wade has songs from jazz to pop and everything in between on this project. This album "I Made It" has been reviewed as a must have cd by multiple radio personalities and major recording artists. Big Wade is currently touring performing his newly released album with The Last Few and has a couple more projects to be released under Versatile Entertainment this year. Big Wade is destined to be mentioned with the greats in music. His biggest influences are Quincy Jones, Stevie Wonder, Curtis Mayfield, Jay Dilla, Dr. Dre, Donnie Hathaway, Isaac Hayes, Prince, and D’Angelo.
