This Fall we have partnered with local professors to bring an all new season of of our Prof Picks Series to the big screen! Local professors and experts curate a film for the big screen, introduce the movie and then, after the film, they host a post movie Q&A in the theater! The Series kicks off on September 17th with a classic curated by Dr. Thomas Powers, Assistant Professor of English at Montgomery County Community College. Carpenterโs unique vision is perfectly encapsulated in this bizarre, fun camp classic.

He is also the author of Gender and the Quest in British Science-Fiction Television: An Analysis of Doctor Who, Blakeโs 7, Red Dwarf and Torchwood (McFarland, 2016) and has composed numerous articles for the Eisner-Award-winning Back Issue! magazine, which specializes in Bronze Age comics history.
