BIG TOWN PLAYERS (Perth WA Blues/Rock)The Big Town Players have emerged in the last seven years as the wild card on the local Perth blues circuit with the international sound.
Part Muddy Waters, part Billy Thorpe, the old school R & B, pub rock, soul and blues influences are undeniable. This is energetic, Chicago style harmonica driven rock and roll that is perfect to dance to.
Sporting a big fat, raucous, electric bar room sound and great songwriting, the Big Town Players have carved out a following that enjoy a lusty live delivery and traditional blues sound with a rock and roll edge.
Following appearances at the Bridgetown Blues festivals in 2017 & 2018, the band released its first album "BIG TOWN" in January of 2019 at the Perth Blues Club to some acclaim. Subsequently the album debuted at #8 on the Australian Blues and Roots Airplay charts (ABARAC) and stayed for a mighty 6 mths.
In 2021 BTPs released their second album ‘OTHER SIDE OF TOWN’ that reached #3 on the (ABARAC) charts.
