In the late 1960's, a young songwriter names Kris Kristofferson burst onto the Nashville scene. He was like nobody else in the world of country music- a former U.S. Army captian, Rhodes scholar, and Golden gloves boxer- and he wrote songs like nobody else before or since. He spent the next half-century as an iconic singer/songwriter, and also has a Hollywood star. Headlining films such as Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid, Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore, A Star is Born, Heaven's Gate, and Lone Star.
