The hugely popular BIG SING is returning to the Hall for Cornwall!Come and join in this unique singing experience celebrating Cornwall’s young people’s singing and where the performers are also the audience! Musically supported and led by members of the fabulous Cornwall Youth Choir, alongside the Big Sing secondary schools band this event is delivered by Angela Renshaw and Matt Douglas. This year we’ll also have one or two special guests. All songs this year will also be signed.
Primary, Secondary, SEN and out of school education settings can sign up for this popular event. NB This event is likely to sell out quickly so please only commit if you are definitely able to attend!
Bring your enthusiasm and be ready to sing along with 1200 others!
On The Day:
- Registration: Check-in at the Hall for Cornwall begins at 10:30 am.
- Rehearsal 11am - 12.30pm: Kick off the day with a rehearsal of eight well-known songs.
- Lunch 12.30pm - 1.30pm: Bring your own lunch to enjoy during the break.
- Performance 1.30pm - 2.30pm: Showcase your singing talents as we perform to each other from 1:30 pm onwards.
We’ll send out song lyrics to all schools taking part so you can rehearse in school. On the day we’ll project lyrics onto a huge screen so there’s no need to bring lyric sheets.
Please note that unlike in several of ASONE’s vocal strategy projects, there are no workshop visits provided as part of this event. We’ll be teaching a few songs too on the day itself plus see the return of ‘Cornwall’s Super Singing Stars’ and ‘Talented Teacher Time’.
Registration Details:
- Each ticket covers a maximum class of 35 children and 4adults.
- Booking Fee: £40 per ticket.
- Payment is to be made on a school credit card and needs to be completed by a registered ASONE Hub user.
- Due to high demand, please only book for your school if you can commit to the date.
