Big Shrimp brings their Go Big or Go Home Tour to Funk 'n Waffles in Syracuse, NY on November 15th!Big Shrimp, formerly known as Baked Shrimp, is reborn with a new lineup and an invigorated sound, ready to take the music world by storm. The versatile quartet is home to Bridgeport, CT, and features established members Jared Sage Cowen (Guitar/Vocals) and Jager Soss (Drums/Vocals), along with new additions Max Perrotti (Bass/Vocals) and Matt Takesh (Keyboard/Vocals). Their transformation from a power trio to a quartet has expanded their musical horizons, blending risk-taking progressive fusion rock with fresh, polished, innovative elements.
Since their original formation in 2017, the band's high-octane energy, unique songwriting, and improvisational prowess have secured them a prominent spot in the festival circuit. Known as the hardest-working band in the business, they performed over 215 concerts between 2022 and 2023. Last summer, they made their debut at prestigious festivals like Peach Music Festival, Summer Camp Music Festival, Northlands Live, and Mile of Music. In addition to these festival appearances, they had the honor of supporting acts such as Phil Lesh of the Grateful Dead, The Disco Biscuits, Dopapod, Twiddle, and Andy Frasco & The U.N.
Despite their relentless touring schedule, the band consistently released new music, including their latest fifth album, "Baked Shrimp." This album featured songs like "Chop Suey" and "Can't Cut the Mustard," which earned an honorable spot on the Spotify editorial playlist "Modern Jam Band."
Big Shrimp is set to bring the show on the road with brand new music and a focus on recording a new album. Their official launch will also see the revival of their beloved festival, LonCon, scheduled for September 20th-21st at Wonderland Forest in LaFayette, NY. This festival, a homage to their devoted supporter and ambassador Lon “Conscious” Gellman, remains a vibrant celebration of live music and art, complete with two nights of camping.
Big Shrimp is poised to bring their expanded sound and renewed energy to fans old and new, continuing their legacy of musical innovation and live performance excellence.

Based in Ann Arbor, MI, Chirp is a four-piece band that does their fair share of genre-hopping. Often playing in the styles of progressive rock/funk and jazz-fusion, their sound maintains a melodic center. The group features a wide array of originals and covers in their live sets and puts together dynamic, high-energy shows. Though their music ties in many technical elements, an equal emphasis is put on grooving and keeping people moving. Chirp takes influence from Snarky Puppy, Steely Dan, Led Zeppelin, James Brown, Yes, Daft Punk, Vulfpeck, and The Beatles to name a few.
Chirp has been hard at work since their formation in 2015, touring and recording consistently since the project began. Their fresh sound has taken them touring across the Midwest to play a large variety of venues and festivals. Chirp is Jay Frydenlund, Brian Long, Sam Naples, and Patrick Blommel.
