About this Event

Join us for a Big Ideas in Art + Culture lecture from Diane Borsato at the Kitchener-Waterloo Art Gallery (KWAG) Community Access Space on the evening of Wednesday, April 3 from 6-8pm.

Diane will share insights from her contemporary art practice, including her video work, Gems and Minerals (2018), featured in , currently on view in the main gallery of KWAG.

ASL interpretation will be provided.


Event capacity: 50 attendees in the Community Access Space


Overflow attendance will be seated in the KWAG Atrium and provided with live audio of the talk.*


is a Toronto-based multidisciplinary artist known for leading ambitious projects collaborating with a variety of practitioners: ASL interpreters, beekeepers, amateur naturalists, and more. An Associate Professor at the University of Guelph, Diane teaches Experimental Studio, where students link everyday life to art through topics on food, walking, and encounters with nature. Twice nominated for the Sobey Art Award, Diane Borsato is renown for her exhibitions across Canada—from the Vancouver Art Gallery to The Owens Museum—and internationally.
