Please come and lend a hand!! 2nd Heald Green Girlguiding are helping church and our community to refurbish the extension, to make it fit for purpose and an enjoyable space to be in.
From 1-5th May and 22-26th May, it's action stations! We need to:
Empty the room;
Clean, re-seal, sand and paint;
Repair areas of the floor;
Replace cork boards;
Hang new blinds;
and for anyone who feels they can help one volunteer in particular... we're making some small trusses and re-felting the roof then insulating the ceiling.
We're asking if you can please spare an hour, half a day or even a full day during the dates above, to come and give us a hand. There will be snacks and refreshments available all day everyday, and a free lunch for those there at lunch time.
We want to help teach young people some life skills, so for any youngsters that can help, they'll earn a badge for contributing (parents must stay with their child!!). Parents will also receive a little 'thank you', but we're hoping people will want to help just because it's a nice thing to do!!

(yes this was about the Big Help Out in 2024 to mark the King's coronation, and the BHO is officially returning in 2026, but why wait to help your community!!) (ps, don't feel pressured or anything :) )
