NCWF and its Island Wildlife Chapter will join volunteers, local partner Friends of Pleasure Island State Parks, and Park Ranger Jesse Anderson to dig a large depression in the ground where a bog garden habitat will be created. This much-anticipated addition to the Visitors Center will provide opportunities for the public to observe and learn about vulnerable bog species of North Carolina, including Venus flytraps, pitcher plants, and more! Tools and gloves will be provided, or bring your own. Please bring a shovel and a wheelbarrow if you have them handy. We will have a few on-site.
Please note: the State Park system requires all volunteers bring proof of vaccination. Thank you.
