About this Event
Cycling UK’s Big Bike Revival helps people to cycle more.
All of the events are for adults who don’t already cycle regularly and free to attend, thanks to government funding.
Events are run by organisations in your local community, like Active Cycles and Breaking Cycles CIC.
At Big Bike Revival events, people can learn to ride, learn about bike maintenance, have bikes checked and fixed and join led rides.
Learn to Fix Workshops
Our Learn to Fix workshops are intended to teach you the basics of home maintenance.
This isn’t a complicated bike maintenance course that requires loads of prior knowledge. It’s a series of sessions that aim to give you a better understanding of how your bike works.
Each session will have a specific focus, but they will all cover the basics so you can attend any one or more than one if you like.
The session focusses are:
- June – Bike cleaning
- July – Tyres & puncture repair
- August - Brakes
- September – Gears & Chains
- October – Getting your bike ready for riding through autumn into winter
