Big Band Sunday May 19th, 2024 from 7-9pm featuring Moonlight Swing Living History Big Band at The Carmichael Elks Lodge, 5631 Cypress Ave, Carmichael, CAIt’s OFFICIAL …. Moonlight Swing Living History Big Band is giving you permission to start the MEMORIAL DAY HOLIDAY early.
So why not get a jump start on the summer season listening and dancing to your favorite hits from the Big Band era. Moonlight Swing will give you a thrill by recreating the sights and sounds of the Glenn Miller band of WWII. They will be performing favorites like In the Mood, String of Pearls, Moonlight Serenade and many more. In honor of Memorial Day and the brave servicemen and women who served and sacrificed so much for our freedom, the 19 band members will be attired in their vintage military uniforms. Make your plans to enjoy a slice of history while you dance your troubles away. Doors open at 6:30pm .The fun starts at 7pm and a modest donation of $10./person get you in. Get there early for the best seating. Beverage service is available for purchase. Look forward to seeing all of you there ... don't forget to bring your friends!!
