Look alive! It's 2025, and Big Band Frequency is back to make sure it's another fun year! Come to the Penny Black on Friday, the 7th of February, to experience this band of 19 talented musicians knock your socks off with swing, funk, Latin, and soul classics from the '50s through to the modern day!
The weather is hot and so are we! Witness the saxes swing, the trombones shake, the trumpets scream, the rhythm section sizzle, and the glorious Julia Sandel (@juliagvoices) lift up your soul with songs and tunes from Ella Fitzgerald and Count Basie all the way to Yoko Kanno, Larry Graham, and Snarky Puppy, with an original or two to boot!
Joining us for this jazzy funk-fest will be The Remote Collaborators!
The Remote Collaborators, a band of seasoned musicians fronted by the vocal talents of Tamara Brezzi, bring the joy of the blues, soul and funk music to the stage, playing an upbeat set of songs made popular by artists including Etta James, Sam Cooke, Joe Cocker and more.
This show will be free entry, so bring your friends and come along for an electric night of hot, live music and great atmosphere that you won't want to miss!
