OVERVIEW
Austin Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) has announced the Airport Expansion and Development Program (AEDP) and the Airfield Infrastructure Project. “Midfield Taxiways” initiates the program by preserving airfield connectivity between existing runways, allowing for future concourse expansion. The project includes installing new concrete taxiways, aircraft rated bridge structures, service roads, utilities, drainage reconfiguration, airfield lighting, and signage and security improvements. Also included in the project scope is to reconfigure portions of the South Terminal Infrastructure by installing a new parking lot, re-surfacing existing parking lots, upgrading drainage, and new roadways.

TIMELINE
Bid Packages out starting August 5th
SCHEDULE
Enabling Work begins October 2024 and project completion is April 2027

· Concrete Pavement Demolition

· Building and Foundation Demolition

· Excavation and Embankment

· Lime Treated Subgrade (Roadway and AOA)

· Flexbase Installation

· Removal of RCP and Manholes

· Install RCP 24”-72”

· Box Culvert at 6x6, 8x6 and 10x6

· Precast Manholes, Grate Inlets and Curb Inlets

· Water/Waste Water 12”-24”

· Asphalt Milling

· Asphalt Pavement Roadway

· Asphalt Pavement AOA

· 19” P-501 Taxiway Pavement

· Bridge Structure (Drilled Shafts, Abutment Cap, Abutment Wall, MSE Panels, TX Girders and Bridge Deck)

· Electrical and Communications (Non AOA)

· Electrical (AOA) – Removals, duct bank, guidance signs, centerline & edge lights, base cans and obstruction lights.

· Landscape/Seeding/Trees – Furnish Topsoil, seed, tree install and removal, temporary irrigation system

· Erosion Control

· Detention Pond

· Pavement Markings – Parking lot, roadway and AOA for both Installation and Removal

· Quality Control

· Survey
