This is a free community event as part of the 2025 Biamp Portland Jazz Festival. Patrick Carr was born and raised in a musical family in Nashville, Tennessee. He studied jazz at the University of North Texas, where he taught and directed medium and large ensembles as a teaching fellow. He now lives in Portland, Oregon where he performs regularly with Ron Steen, the Rivkah Ross quartet, and many other local jazz musicians.
