*Wake Up Tampa Bay is a mindfulness and meditation group for people aged 18 to 35.*
Come join us for our biweekly meditation and discussion in the Lotus Hall of the Florida Community Of Mindfulness (FCM) Practice Center.
We will guide you through a 20-30 minute sitting meditation, followed by 10 minutes of walking meditation. Then we will read from a Dharma book together, discuss the teachings and share how we apply them to our life. Afterwards we will have tea and snacks. Arrive late or leave early as needed. There is no charge for this event.
COVID-19 Update: FCM welcomes all individuals to attend our events in person, regardless of vaccination status. Masks are not required, although people may choose to mask at any time. We ask members and non-members to please stay home if they are currently experiencing any signs of any transmissible illness, including COVID-19.
All Wake Up Tampa Bay events are alcohol, drug, and animal product free. Everyone aged 18 to 35 is welcome, but we ask that all who come do so with a clear mind and an open heart. Please leave cynicism and offensive speech at the door, and if you are intoxicated or otherwise under the influence, we ask that you wait for another time to join us.
The building's address is difficult to see. It is an old church painted green. If you are coming from Hillsborough Ave. turn right one Lambright just past the Swann Motel. If you are coming from Busch, turn left on Lambright just before the Swann Motel. We are your first left off of Lambright. There will be a greeter outside of the building from 6:45-7:00 to show people where to go.
