A friendly, welcoming event for PC members who would like to have a go at a Tetrathlon with an open flagged mini cross country course where members may be led and assisted.
INFORMATION
Bean Bag
Every competitor will have 5 practice throws at a target, then 10 throws that will be scored.
Shoot
Only members aged 8 and over on the day of the competition can shoot and members should have been trained with their Pony Club before competing. The targets will be at a distance of 7m and static.
Run
A course will be marked out in a field. Runners will be set off in groups. The faster they get round the more points they will score. No run numbers will be required – just your name.
Ride
We have a mini cross country course which will be opened flagged so that competitors can choose which height fence they would like to jump. Each fence will be judged but the course will not be timed. There will be a slip rail where riders will need to dismount, drop the rail, lead their pony over the rail, then raise the rail within one minute to complete that obstacle. Riders will be allowed assistance to remount. There will also be a small gate to open and close, within one minute, whilst mounted. If assistance is required with the gate there will be a small penalty.
Please clearly print your own riding number to be worn in a number bib.
The course will be open for walking from 3pm on Friday 26th April, or you can walk it on the day.
Prizes
Prizes for all with Individual Rosettes to 6th place and Team Rosettes to 10th place. Rosettes also given to the best competitor in each phase for each class. Teams to comprise of 3 or 4 members from the same pony club, the top three scores to count.
