About this Event
On December 3rd, 1984, a poorly maintained pesticide factory leaked a leaked a massive chemical gas cloud into Bhopal. Join us as two survivors and an activist share stories and advocate for justice.
This is part of a US Tour of Survivors of the Bhopal Disaster to revive global awareness on the causes and consequences of this event organized by the "International Campaign for Justice in Bhopal" ahead of the 40th anniversary.
These survivors will present an account of how gas-exposed communities in Bhopal have persisted for 40 years, treating illnesses and have documented the continued environmental pollution and damage to health faced in their communities. With this tour, ICJB hopes to grow support for the campaign in communities across the US, both leading up to and after the 40th Anniversary on December 3rd, 2024.
