BfN Reading Support - Video call

Breastfeeding support available from BfN peer support volunteer, available to those in the Reading area. This is a 1:1 video call with a BfN volunteer. Zoom joining details will be emailed to you shortly before the start time.

You do not need to download Zoom, you can access it from your internet browser (it seems to work best with Chrome). You can simply copy and paste the link here to join the ‘meeting’ and add the password when prompted. 

Your safety and privacy (and that of the volunteers) is a priority for us, so here’s some important information to read before the video call: 

• Please have your video on at the start so we can confirm who is joining. 

• Please make sure your Zoom profile is showing first names only – if you are using a partner’s account, please can you either change it to your first name or let us know which name will be showing. This is because, as a safety precaution, we will only admit people from the Zoom waiting room that we are expecting to see. 

• Please use only first names during the call 

• Please do not share any personal information if you are not happy to do so 

• Think about who or what can be seen on screen that you might not wish to share, including images of children 

• The chat during the session can be saved by any user on their own device.  Please consider this before posting any sensitive information in the chat. 

• Calls are not recorded – we ask you not to record/take screenshots/photos either. 

• All BfN staff and volunteers have up to date DBS checks and training in information governance/data protection 

• Confidentiality is always important to us so we will make every effort to avoid interruptions from children or others, however as we are all volunteering from home this cannot always be guaranteed – if you are unhappy with this please let us know 

Please note: your messages are deleted after they are no longer needed, as per our policies (https://www.breastfeedingnetwork.org.uk/privacy-notice/)  and your contact details will only be used to send you information for the specific session you have contacted us about. As per BfN’s Information Governance policies, in case of queries/complaints from service users, we record first names of the service user, date of session, volunteer present and generic topics discussed (no identifiable information). This is stored securely online for 8 years and then securely destroyed.
