Announcing the BFETC Swap Shop!Do you have clothes you never wear? Want to swap them for something new and do your bit for the planet? Then don’t miss out on our Swap Shop at Blessington Further Education Centre!
This event is brought to you by West Wicklow Youthreach with support from the BFETC Green Committee.
How It Works 👕
Bring your new or gently used clothes to the Blessington Further Education Centre during the Preopening Donation Period listed below, or during any of the opening times listed below.
Items Accepted: New or gently used clothing items such as coats, jackets, dresses, tops, trousers, etc. (no shoes, underwear, swimwear, soiled or damaged items accepted). All items should be clean, in good condition, and ready to wear.
Donors receive will Swap Tokens to use for exchanging items. Items will be sorted based on the swap value (worth between 1-5 tokens).
Tokens can be purchased in the event that you do not have anything to swap at a cost of €2 each (cash only).
Leftover items from the event will be donated to our local SVP & Direct Provision Centre.
Funds raised from token sales will be used to further sustainability initiatives on the Youthreach Programme and help make our campus greener and more sustainable for everyone.
Times & Dates 🗓️
Preopening Donation Period: Weekdays 3-7th March.
We will be collecting donations and exchanging clothes for tokens from Mon-Thurs 3rd-6th March 9:30am-4pm, & Fri 7th 9:30-12pm.
Campus Opening: Monday -Friday from 10-21st March (Excluding Bank Holidays)
The swap shop will be opened for all members of the BFETC campus in the modular building each weekday between Mon-Thurs 11am-11:20am, & 12:50-1:30pm. Fridays 11am-11:20am.
Public Opening: 13th & 20th March from 10am-3pm.
The swap shop event will be open to the public on the 13th & 20th March from 10am-3pm.
