BeyondSight Latihan: A Journey into Presence

An experience of reconnection—to yourself and to others
About this Event

Do you remember being a child—meeting someone new and instantly connecting, playing and moving together without overthinking? Before appearance, labels, or visual cues shaped perception, and before conditioning built invisible walls between us.
That natural way of connecting still lives in you.

BeyondSight Latihan is an invitation to return to it—or simply to return to yourself.

At its core, Latihan is a spiritual practice that invites mind, body, and spirit to realign by allowing an inner intelligence to move through you, rather than directing it. In this modernized form, BeyondSight Latihan is a blindfolded somatic journey into presence and authentic connection, where you are free to engage or disengage at your own pace, honoring your boundaries at every step.

By slowing down and releasing the need to control or perform, space opens for deeper awareness and organic movement to emerge. The practice supports nervous system regulation by creating conditions of safety, choice, and embodied awareness.

Blindfolded, the dominance of sight softens, inviting deeper listening to sensation, intuition, and subtle inner impulses. Through intuitive movement and gentle, non-verbal awareness of others, the body—not the mind—becomes the guide. Removing visual cues allows connection to arise from presence rather than appearance or projection.

You may explore connection with others, or simply stay with yourself. Both are equally welcome.

Come curious. Leave more connected—to yourself and to others.

🌿 What to Expect

  • A guided, blindfolded practice designed to quiet the mind and awaken inner awareness
  • Intuitive movement that supports the release of stuck energy, tension, and old patterns
  • A container to reconnect with emotions, instincts, and authentic expression
  • Subtle relational awareness and connection with others—while staying rooted in your own experience, boundaries, and agency

No prior experience with meditation, movement, or embodiment practices is needed.
Just bring curiosity, openness, and respect for your own rhythm.

🌟 What Makes BeyondSight Unique

Rooted in the traditional Indonesian practice of Latihan Kejiwaan (“spiritual exercise”), BeyondSight reimagines this lineage-based practice through a contemporary, trauma-aware, and consent-centered lens.

The blindfold plays a central role: by removing visual input, it gently dissolves distraction, comparison, and self-consciousness. What remains is a direct, embodied relationship with sensation, intuition, and presence—allowing movement and connection to arise from a place of honesty rather than performance.

Unlike ecstatic dance or expressive movement practices, BeyondSight emphasizes listening over expression, being moved rather than moving, and connection that honors personal choice and boundaries.

💫 This Practice Is for You If You’re Ready To:

Slow down and find stillness within motion

Deepen connection through presence, awareness, and conscious touch

Release control, performance, and external validation

Work with people-pleasing patterns by practicing clear, embodied Yes and No

Feel and express emotions authentically, without needing to explain

Meet others with openness, honesty, and grounded presence

Let each interaction become an opportunity for growth—while honoring your boundaries and agency

💬 Participant Reflections
