About this Event
🙈 What does it mean to be indispensable to the world, yet politically unseen?
Beyond Visibility is a three-part film screening series that examines Taiwan’s global significance, democratic resilience, and the escalating security risks it faces today. Through documentary and drama, these films reveal how Taiwan sits at the center of global supply chains, geopolitical tension, and an ongoing fight for recognition.
This special program brings together three acclaimed works for audiences in the Greater Seattle area: Zero Day Attack (零日攻擊), A Chip Odyssey (造山者-世紀的賭注), and Invisible Nation (看不見的國家).
Each screening is followed by filmmaker Q&A, offering rare, behind-the-scenes insight into the stories behind the headlines. Zero Day Attack features an in-person Q&A, and A Chip Odyssey and Invisible Nation are accompanied by live online director Q&As.
Featured guests include Lin Jin-Chang (林錦昌), executive producer of Zero Day Attack; Cheng Hsin-Mei (鄭心媚), showrunner of Zero Day Attack; Janet Hsieh (謝怡芬), cast member of Zero Day Attack; Hsiao Chu-Chen (蕭菊貞), director of A Chip Odyssey; and Vanessa Hope, director of Invisible Nation.
Together, these films invite audiences to look beyond visibility and confront why Taiwan’s story matters to all of us.
