Finishing and framing your art is the best way to elevate its impact and make sales. The options are endless whether you paint on canvas, print on paper, or shadowbox 3 dimensional objects. In this workshop, we’ll review how to stretch your own canvas and select a floating frame, the best ways to mount works on paper and the glass options to protect them, hanging/installation techniques and more. About the Speaker:
Emily Berger is a self-taught artist whose practice includes functional woodcarving, small sculpture, and printmaking. Since 2018, she has been awarded multiple Arts and Science Council grants, scholarships to regional craft schools, and is an alumni of ArtPop Street Gallery and ArtFields SC.
In addition, Berger has been a custom art framer for 9 years at Frame Warehouse in Charlotte, NC. She is experienced in handling everything from paintings on canvas to fine art prints to archival classics as well as the work of many local artists.
Emily Berger is based in Charlotte, NC and has a studio at the McColl Center.
