About this Event
Toxic chemicals can contribute to cancer, asthma, neurological disease, birth defects, and other health problems. They can also be hazardous to the environment.
This 2-hour workshop covers the basics of toxicology and chemical hazards, the strengths and limitations of the safety data sheet (SDS), and explores tools to research hazards and find safer options. This course is free and suitable for anyone, including students, industry professionals, academic researchers, and Massachusetts toxics use reduction (TUR) planners.

Please bring a laptop to the workshop so you may participate in activities, or contact us if you need to borrow one. Additionally, if you are a TUR planner, attendance at this workshop may be used to apply for up to two continuing education credits with MassDEP.
