About this Event
In this day-long workshop with mediators Kate Hall, Chris Wilson, Tsipora Dimant, Audrey Stone, and Patrick Ward participants can expect topics to include:
- Coercive control dynamics of domestic violence and help mediators learn to recognize these dynamics.
- Screening obligations and tools, including verbal and written tools.
- Whether and how to mediate with families where coercive control dynamics may be present and help mediators think about how to set up parties for post-mediation success.
Lunch and snacks will be provided. Breaks will be given throughout the day. Participation throughout the day is voluntary - there will be opportunities for both small group discussion and role play.
Parking is free and abundant. Check-in will start at 8:30am. The program will start at 9:00am.
